Overview

This 1 oz Kiangnan Dragon Dollar Restrike 2019 is based on the silver Dragon dollars issued by China, Japan, and later Korea. These coins were inspired by the silver Spanish dollar following its introduction into the region in the 16th Century. They were minted by the Kiangnan Mint (originally known as the Nanking Mint) using dies developed by the Heaton Mint in Birmingham.

This gold coin is produced by the LPM Mint with an ultra low mintage of 100 coins worldwide. Breaking tradition, this Chinese mint will use laser etching to mark the coin's year, weight, mintage, and purity on the rim—an innovative touch to this historical treasure.
